BHS team alum Bjorn Riley wins World Cup.
Boulder High MTB alum Bjorn Riley won the elite men's short track at the Pal Arinsal World Cup in Andorra on July 10, out-sprinting the field for his first elite World Cup victory.
One of our own stood on the top step of a World Cup podium.
On Friday, July 10, Bjorn Riley won the elite men’s short track (XCC) at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup round in Pal Arinsal, Andorra. He timed his move perfectly, coming around Adrien Boichis in the final corners and holding him off in a sprint to win by one second, with fellow American Christopher Blevins in third. It’s Bjorn’s first elite World Cup win, mid-way through an already huge season racing for Scott-SRAM as a multi-time U.S. national champion. “I just won my first World Cup… that’s pretty wild,” as he put it afterward.
