There is a job for whatever you have to give. Some people take a full day on course. Others take a couple of hours course marshaling and then go watch their kid race. Both are genuinely useful, and the shorter shift is how most people start.

A few practical notes

It is worth checking your rider’s start time before you pick a shift, because most positions can be worked around a single race and nobody expects you to miss your own kid racing.

The team trailer also needs a tow to Frisco. That one is separate from League volunteering, but it matters just as much, since Frisco is a long way to haul a trailer. If you are interested in towing the team trailer and have a truck big enough for the job, send us an email at coach@boulderhighmtb.org.

One practical thing about the venue: Frisco sits at about 9,000 feet and the weather in late August does whatever it likes, so bring more layers than you think you need. Standing still on a course is a good deal colder than riding it.

For team-side volunteering and anything the parent committee runs, email parents@boulderhighmtb.org. Sara Weatherley, April Gatesman, and Jennifer Peers coordinate that side and will find you something that fits.

See you in Frisco.
